We organise walks and events in East and West Sussex - and occasionally further afield. Walks vary in length but are normally between 10 and 25 miles, depending upon the season. They offer a challenge and the opportunity to explore new areas and meet new people. You are most welcome to join any walk in the programme

Coronavirus: Please refer to your LDWA sussex email for details of Walks from July 2020.

Well done Anthony.

One of our members has just completed a challenge of walking 100km (62 miles) in 22 hours. from Eastbourne to Arundel. Anthony Mitchell is raising money for the Loiyangalani Trust, an education charity working in Africa. He has raised £3000 so far. Details HERE

Anthony's comments:-

I completed the 100 Km in 22 hours.  We have worked out that I maintained an average speed of just over 3 mph which was very pleasing.  I was well supported at the checkpoints.  My committee provided a good variety of refreshments.  Walking through the night was interesting.  At times it was very picturesque with the lights from the towns and villages.  At times it was very dark.

I feel fine, although I am still quite tired.

He would like to thank all those who have made a donation
